Müller & Sohn use the shimmering gold and silver surfaces of a rescue blanket for another video installation, in which the wind is incorporated into the creative process as a shaping force. Here, too, a blue filter is used, which enhances the effect of the reflective surface blending with the sea and the clouds in the background. The high frame rate of the action cameras captures fleeting intermediate states, which are repeatedly highlighted in still images in true-to-life colors, inviting viewers to discover faces, landscapes, or animals within them—or to let the undiscovered rise from their subconscious. “Goldorakel” was the last installation that Müller & Sohn were able to realize on Sylt before they had to leave the island due to the COVID-19 evacuation.
