With WEGE – North Sea, Müller & Sohn are shifting their artistic experiments to the coastal and mudflat landscapes of the North Sea. On Amrum, specially developed objects such as “Netzwerk” and “Wattwurmkacke” encounter wind, water, dunes, and the open horizon.
In doing so, the artists deliberately relinquish some control: Nature transforms from a subject into an active participant. Wind and movement alter the objects, while action cameras document the unfolding situations. Through staging, chance, and the forces of nature, images emerge in which artistic intervention and natural processes overlap.
